Dr. Chandan Kumar, Assistant Regional Director, IGNOU Regional Centre, Vatakara holds a Master of Arts degree in Political Science. He has qualified NET examination with JRF/SRF from the University Grants Commission. After obtaining an M.Phil. degree from the University of Delhi, he also obtained a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Political Science, University of Delhi. For the last 12 years continuously, he has been teaching in various colleges at the University of Delhi and for more than last eight years, he has worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Zakir Husain Delhi College (Eve.), University of Delhi. He has more than 10 research articles published in various national and international research journals and has also written chapters for 07 books on different subjects. He has presented his research papers in numerous workshops, seminars and conferences and has also written articles in other newspapers and magazines. His subjects of study and teaching are Governance, Public Administration, Public Policy, Local Governments and Functions of Gram Sabha in India.
